It actually does fit many 2005 Excursions with the 6.0 Powerstroke, but catalogs are inconsistent because 2005 Excursions were built with both early and late‑style HPOP setups. The STC fitting issue only affects engines with the 2005–2007 style snap‑to‑connect pump fitting, so if your Excursion has that later pump the kit is applicable; if it has the earlier threaded fitting, you do not need this update.
