Good question, and something a lot of people wonder about with any SRW‑to‑dually adapter kit.
This kit doesn’t change the truck’s rated towing or payload numbers; you still need to go by the factory axle and GVWR ratings on the door sticker. In real‑world use, adding duals can improve stability and spread the load across more tire contact patch, but it doesn’t magically upgrade the axle or brakes.
As for bearings and seals, any spacer/adapter setup moves the wheel load slightly farther outboard, which can increase leverage on the bearings compared to a factory SRW axle, especially if you’re running heavy wheels and towing at the upper end of the truck’s rating all the time. Keep everything torqued correctly, run quality bearings, and stay within the OE weight ratings and you shouldn’t see abnormal wear, but from a mechanical standpoint it’s still more side load than a stock SRW setup.
