They’re MAHLE / Clevite pistons that come as part of the MAHLE Clevite overhaul kit.
Compared to used stock pistons, the new MAHLE cast pistons are an improvement simply because they’re fresh, correctly clearanced components built to OEM‑level quality and durability; they’re not a high‑performance forged upgrade, but they are a very solid OE‑replacement choice for a stock or mildly tuned LLY/LBZ.
