Here are the most common reasons the MC470B won’t connect and how to fix them:
1. Not in pairing mode
• Turn the system on, then put it in Bluetooth mode and make sure the LED is flashing (pairing).
• On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings, search for devices, and select “Boss Audio MC470B” (or similar). If asked for a code, enter 0000.
2. Previously paired device is grabbing it
• If someone else’s phone was paired first, your speakers may auto‑connect to that device instead of yours.
• Have them turn Bluetooth off, or delete the MC470B from their phone. Then “Forget” the MC470B on your phone and pair fresh.
3. AUX cable is plugged in
• If a 3.5 mm AUX plug is inserted, Bluetooth audio is disabled. Unplug the AUX cable, then try pairing again.
4. Power / wiring issues
• The amp needs a solid 12 V switched power and good ground; low voltage or loose wiring can keep Bluetooth from starting up correctly.
5. General Bluetooth glitches
• Restart the speakers (power off/on) and your phone, toggle Bluetooth off/on, then try pairing again.
If you walk through those steps and it still won’t show up as “Boss Audio MC470B” on your phone, the Bluetooth module may be faulty and it’d be worth contacting Boss Audio support with the unit’s purchase info.
