These Tough Country dually boards mount entirely to the truck’s frame at the factory cab/body mount locations, not to the sheet‑metal or fender flare itself.
• Along the straight section under the cab, the brackets bolt to the frame where the cab mounts are, using supplied steel brackets and hardware.
• The “dually kick‑out” at the rear is part of the same welded 2.5‑inch pipe frame, so it’s supported by those frame‑mounted brackets rather than separate attachment points on the flare.
So, even where the board kicks out to follow the dually fender, it’s still carried by the main frame‑mount brackets; you don’t drill or mount into the flare itself.
