You don’t need to provide a VIN for this IDM because it’s built as a true plug‑and‑play module that doesn’t store vehicle‑specific VIN or security data.
On 7.3L Power Stroke trucks the PCM handles the VIN and most of the vehicle‑specific programming, while the IDM’s job is simply to take the PCM’s commands and drive the injectors at the correct voltage and timing. Since the Diamond T unit is designed to be compatible with all the factory IDM part numbers and both early and late 7.3 applications, it can drop in and work without any re‑flashing or VIN write.
